A new name for what we've become

When my Co-Founder and I started FounderNest, we set out to solve a problem we kept seeing firsthand: the best opportunities were always found too late, once the room was already crowded.

FounderNest began as a marketplace connecting the world's most promising startups with the largest venture capital firms on earth. We saw exponential growth. Founders found capital, investors found companies, and we earned real traction.

That traction opened a door we had not expected. Alongside the marketplace, we could build a second model in parallel, helping corporations discover the companies and deal flow their competitors could not see. Once we saw it work, the scale was unmistakable: an opportunity measured in billions rather than millions.

The teams pulling on it were the corporates. Because the targets we surfaced were ones they could not find anywhere else, they started asking for more than names. They wanted the intelligence around them: the trends, the competitor moves, the signals that let them decide earlier and avoid being late. Meanwhile, the databases they paid for could not keep pace with their research, and the LLMs they tried gave everyone the same generic answers.

So we set out to build a new category.

The machine underneath

We built it on proprietary data spanning 60M+ companies, 160M+ patents, 320M+ papers, 500K+ clinical trials, and 120M+ authors and key opinion leaders. And we tuned it for a different bar than most systems. Most are built to return the most likely answer. We built ours to avoid missing what is relevant, whether that is a company, a trend, a competitor move, a patent, or a new entrant, while maximising signal-to-noise.

When we map an emerging category, we consistently surface companies and insights conventional searches miss. Many have never raised an institutional round. Most don't appear in the databases you already pay for. A view built from funding events would show you the same handful of names everyone already knows.

Teams working this way see 30 to 60% more relevant results per search and spend 40 to 50% less time building a real view of a market. Teams at organizations such as Kyocera and AB InBev use it to do exactly that, along with Roche and Novo Nordisk, and five of the top 10 pharma companies in the world.

Somewhere along that path, we stopped being a place to look things up. We became a new category: a Market Intelligence AI Analyst.

The name

Today that Analyst has a name and a voice. It answers your questions, tracks what matters, and surfaces the opportunities and insights you could not find before. What it produces is clarity, and clarity is the whole point. Most tools help you see a little further out. Klaro lets you see Beyond the Horizon, where no one else is looking yet, and see it clearly. That is the double gain, and our name should say that plainly.

So today we're becoming Klaro. From claro, clear.

FounderNest named where we began: a nest for founders raising their first capital so they could start flying free. Klaro names what we deliver now: clear intelligence your competitors can't see.

To the hundreds of enterprise teams who work with us: nothing you rely on goes away. Same team, same culture, same DNA, same passion, and your account, data, and agreement continue exactly as they are. To those meeting us for the first time: we built this for the teams whose advantage depends on seeing what others miss, in corporate development, M&A, corporate venturing, innovation, R&D, and strategy.

Our mission is simple, and it has not changed: get these teams the information they need about the markets critical to their business, before their competition does. And behind it, the same reason we started: to create prosperity in the world by elevating the way decisions are made in business.

We can't wait to show you what Klaro looks like.
